It might not be as sexy as the Grammy Awards, but Business NH Magazine recently announced they would recognize the best environmental practices New Hampshire companies have undertaken.
The winners will be featured in a 'Green Guide' and
honored at the
Lean and Green awards. The event will be held in conjunction with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce expo -
That Green Thing- on March 25
th. The expo is being organized by the Chamber's new
Green Committee.

Soon the answer will be a new electric car from Hybrid Technologies. The company takes an existing vehicle, removes the engine (selling it back to the auto maker or a third party) and replaces it with battery power.
A friend recently told me about a new credit card GE is rolling out. Unlike most programs that only reward the cardholder, this one gives back to the environment. Each time the card is used an investment is made in offsetts that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. According to GE, spending $750/month for one year, offsets the direct emissions a typical American is likely to produce in a year. 
Last night NBC kicked off Green Week with the Sunday Night Football crew broadcasting by candle light. Next it was the Today show where I'm guessing Al Roker won the pre-game coin toss. He was enjoying the moderate temps at the equator, while Matt and Ann were assigned to the Arctic Circle and Antarctica.
