Sky Miles vs. Environment?

A friend recently told me about a new credit card GE is rolling out. Unlike most programs that only reward the cardholder, this one gives back to the environment. Each time the card is used an investment is made in offsetts that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. According to GE, spending $750/month for one year, offsets the direct emissions a typical American is likely to produce in a year.

Green Grammy's

It might not be as sexy as the Grammy Awards, but Business NH Magazine recently announced they would recognize the best environmental practices New Hampshire companies have undertaken.

The winners will be featured in a 'Green Guide' and honored at the Lean and Green awards. The event will be held in conjunction with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce expo - That Green Thing- on March 25th. The expo is being organized by the Chamber's new Green Committee.

It's now clear the business community and media throughout the state are recognizing the importance of this movement. Is your business part of the conversation in your state/region?

Candles, Camera, Action!

Last night NBC kicked off Green Week with the Sunday Night Football crew broadcasting by candle light. Next it was the Today show where I'm guessing Al Roker won the pre-game coin toss. He was enjoying the moderate temps at the equator, while Matt and Ann were assigned to the Arctic Circle and Antarctica.

For you soap fans, Days of Our Lives will showcase TV's first green wedding.

The Evolution of Agua

Poland Springs introduces their new 'Eco-Shape Bottle' possibly prompted by the recent backlash against bottled water.

The real question is will it save space in the company frig?

The Green Monster

San Fran may be the first ballpark to use solar power, but the boys in Beantown were ahead of their time with this use of green.

Will their front office make the connection and sell the relevant sponsorships to match? I want 10% Theo! Which I would then give to my favorite charity of course...

Basil and Bulbs

Interested in buying a car? Well, here's a 'garden in a bag' and an energy saving light bulb. Don't forget Cheverolet when you're ready to make that next vehicle purchase.

The Heartbeat of America embraces corpganic marketing by swaping basil and bulbs for email addresses at the Going Green Expo.
